By her side throughout her political journey, she always had her husband Hamish supporting her.

Who is Kemi Badenoch's husband Hamish?

Hamish Badenoch is the Global Head of Future of Work and Real Estate Transformation at Deutsche Bank – the bank he has been working at for 12 years.

As for education, he got a Bachelor's Degree in History at the University of Cambridge.

In fact, in the early 2000s, he was down a different career road in writing and photography.

He worked in several places across the world such as the Middle East and Scandinavia.

He was also involved in politics when from 2014 till 2018, he was a Conservative Councillor on Merton London Borough Council as a representative of Wimbledon.

In 2015, he ran for the Northern Ireland Conservatives in Foyle but failed to get the election position.

His running in Northern Ireland came after his mother actually emigrated from there to London.

When did Kemi and Hamish Badenoch get married?

Kemi and Hamish met in 2009 at the Dulwich and West Norwood Conservative Club and tied the know in 2012.

She told the Daily Mail: "Hamish and I became friends and it took off from there.

"He helped me deliver my leaflets."

Kemi admitted that Hamish has taken a step back from politics so that he can support her in her pursues.

She added: "It is very, very difficult to be an MP in two places at the same time – being in Westminster and Saffron Walden is a huge challenge.

"But now, when I am working and Hamish is not, at least the kids have one parent.

"He's incredibly supportive."

Do Kemi and Hamish Badenoch have any children?

Kemi and Hamish have two daughter and a son.

They had their first baby in 2013.

Kemi went for her usual check up at 20 weeks and a was examined by a student doctor.

The student doctor confirmed that Kemi was going into labour at that moment because they could see the cervix opening.

Luckily they helped to get Kemi stitched and have the baby born after the normal 40 weeks.

In 2017, the couple welcomed a son and in 2019 they had another daughter.
