A COP has been suspended after he was allegedly caught on camera kissing a woman and climbing into the back of his patrol car with her.
A police department in Maryland launched an investigation after the video, which shows the officer in uniform, quickly went viral.
The Prince George’s County Police Department first acknowledged the video on Tuesday, writing: "PGPD Executive Command is aware of a video circulating on social media with one of our officers.
"As soon as we became aware earlier today, we opened an investigation to determine the circumstances.
"Additional information will be released once investigated and confirmed."
By Tuesday evening, officer Francesco Marlett had been suspended pending the outcome of the investigation.
"The officer has been identified," police said in an update.
"His police powers are now suspended as the investigation continues."
The video showing an officer kissing a woman and climbing into the backseat of a police car with her surfaced on Monday night.
The cop, in full uniform, is seen embracing and kissing the woman, then following her into the back of the patrol car.

The steamy situation took place at a park near Oxon Hill High School.
Nelson Ochoa was at the park on Labor Day and began filming as a marked SUV pulled up.
“As soon as I started recording, a car pulled up and a young lady came out,” Ochoa told local NBC affiliate WRC-TV.
“We couldn't believe what we were seeing, and what really made us go, 'Wow, this is crazy,' is when the car started rocking a little bit to the left and right.
"That’s when we were, like, this is crazy. In broad daylight with kids around."
Children can be seen running by in the clip, which quickly racked up millions of views.
Ochoa said that Marlett and the woman drove off in opposite directions after about 40 minutes.
“I’m glad I caught it on camera so Prince George’s could see what kind of officers they have working for them supposedly protecting the community," he said.
Marlett was previously suspended in 2016, according to local news outlets.
He was charged with child abuse after he allegedly knocked his ex-girlfriend's three-year-old unconscious, according to Baltimore Fox affiliate WBFF.
Marlett agreed to anger management counseling and the charges were dropped.
