A shocking video has captured the moment a group of irate bouncers at a bar on the Greek island of Zante were filmed kicking and punching a British teenager in the head.

The clip, which has been circulating on social media, shows 18-year-old James Taylor being held in a headlock as four bouncers took turns beating him.

The lad, from Middlesbrough, was left with a bust lip and a cut on his knee following the attack at the CherryBay nightclub in Laganas on July 4.

The distressing video, which was shared on Twitter, shows three bouncers holding him in a headlock while a fourth pummels him in the head as he tried to struggle free.

But the group started to take turns hitting him as one was seen repeatedly giving him a right hook in the body and head.

Once Taylor managed to break free, a large man kneed him in the face and pushed him into the corner before punching him in the face.

A second bouncer was then seen sucker-punching him in the face with such force he appeared to hit his head on the wall behind him before desperately trying to escape.

James was rushed to the medical centre and given an X-Ray following the attack.

The video was tweeted with the caption: "CHERRY BAY ZANTE BOUNCERS! EVERYONE BE WARNED AND SHARE! These grown men need to be held accountable for this abuse…"

James Taylor spoke to the Mail Online about the ordeal, claiming it kicked off because he was standing on a chair in the venue.

The venue have remained silent on the reasons why the action was taken.

Local media reports in Greece had reported that James had spoken to the police and identified one of the bouncers.

However, James claims he has never spoken to police officers.

CherryBay has been contacted by the Daily Star for a comment.
