Russian president Vladimir Putin may not make it to the end of the war he began in Ukraine, an expert spy chief has claimed.

Warmonger Putin has seen his forces suffer further losses in the east of Ukraine, and now a spy chief claims that there were "active discussions" within Russia about removing Putin from power.

The Ukrainian spy expert claimed that the country's growing frustrations among the ruling class could see an increasingly weak-looking Putin removed from office.

Russian forces are currently being propelled out of Kherson, with Ukrainian forces under President Volodymyr Zelenskyy set on taking back the city with a series of counteroffensives.

A military operation set on reclaiming the territory of Kherson could see the Ukrainian military take back control by the end of November, Major General Kyrylo Budanov has said.

The Ukrainian head of intelligence made the claim alongside the potential removal of Putin as leader of Russia, claiming that it is "unlikely" the despot will survive the end of the war.

Speaking of the potential removal of the Russian despot, Maj Gen Budanov said: "It's unlikely that he survives it. And currently, there's active discussions happening in Russia about who'd be there to replace him."

He added that Russian attacks on energy infrastructure was damaging but not "critical", Daily Mail reported.

His comments come as Russian forces focus a series of attacks on energy resources, including power plants and dams.

Daily Star previously reported on the potential of an "atomic bomb of water" that Putin's forces may launch should they find themselves wanting to sever power connections in Kherson.

President Zelenskyy warned that the potential attack would see "hundreds of thousands" of residents in teh area "fall victim" to "rapid flooding".

Zelenskyy's warning comes as Russian troops in the area were spotted "moving military equipment" ahead of what could bea n "atomic bomb" attack on the dam.
