Kate Middleton dubbed ‘chosen one’ as ‘magical’ moment spotted by royal fans

Kate Middleton has been dubbed "the chosen one" by royal fans after a "magical" coincidence at King Charles' Scottish Coronation earlier this week.

The Princess of Wales joined Charles, Prince William and Queen Camilla for a service of thanksgiving and dedication at St Giles' Cathedral in Edinburgh on Wednesday (July 5).

The special ceremony saw Charles presented with the Honours of Scotland – the country's crown jewels – following a procession from the Palace of Holyroodhouse.

Kate wore a striking blue coat-dress during the ceremony, throughout which she and William were referred to by their little-known Scottish titles – the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay.

As the princess took her seat, those watching the coverage noticed a beam of sunlight landing directly on her, illuminating her outfit.

A clip from the coverage was shared on TikTok and has since been viewed more than 1.5million views. It has been liked more than 50,000 times.

The caption read: "Magical moment for the Princess of Wales as the sun beams down on her like a spotlight when she takes her seat."

One comment on the video read: "She is the chosen one." A second said similarly: "She is truly The Chosen One. And yes she is the one who will take the RF [Royal Family] forward."

A third person said: "The light looks like giving a blessing to her. God bless the future Queen."

Another TikTok user said: "She deserves every spotlight. I bet it’s the late Queen & Diana smiling down at he."

It wasn't the only moment eagle-eyed royal fans picked up on from the ceremony in Scotland.

Commenting on footage shared to TikTok, some said Charles let his "proper temper" show during an awkward moment as he stepped out of the car upon arrival at the cathedral.

He was seen screwing his face as he gestured to royal staff to open one of the car doors for Camilla.
