A teenager has been taken to hospital with life-threatening stab wounds after a conflict on a Melbourne bus.
The boy was stabbed in the upper body in Preston in Melbourne’s north about 4.15pm on Friday.
Victoria Police said it was believed the teen and another boy were involved in an altercation on the bus before the stabbing.
The injured teenager was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries while the second boy left the bus and fled on foot.
Police have cordoned off the area near Murray Road while they investigate.
