This is the terrifying moment a passenger hangs out of the window of a car travelling at 60mph on the A1 to clean his friend’s BMW ‘for banter’.
Footage captures the front seat passenger hanging out of the window to pretend to clean his friend’s white BMW as he overtook another vehicle while hurtling down the dual carriageway near Grantham, Lincolnshire.
To make the video even more heart-stopping, the car is seen travelling in the fast lane in torrential rain in the footage captured on Saturday afternoon.
The police dashcam footage captured the dangerous stunt and blasted the passenger’s ‘deplorable behaviour’ online.
Taking to Twitter, Lincolnshire Police wrote: ‘This deplorable behaviour was witnessed on the A1 dual carriageway in Grantham, travelling at 60mph.

Officers were gobsmacked after the passenger said he was cleaning his friends vehicle for ‘banter
‘Passenger was cleaning his friend’s vehicle for ‘banter’. Driver and passenger reported for multiple offences and section 59 warning issued.’
A spokesman said the driver and passenger had been reported for several offences, and that the pair were given section 59 warning notice.
The notice means that police could seize the vehicle if further offences are committed.
