Teacher sent stripping video to student, 15, he dubbed ‘the full package’

A depraved maths teacher sent explicit videos of himself to a 15-year-old schoolgirl.

Kenneth O’Brien targeted the teenage pupil, who was a student in his class at Stirlingshire High School.

Inappropriate contact from the 29-year-old sent included sending the child a video where he performed a partial striptease, and describing her as “the full package”.

The victim, who cannot be named for legal reasons, told authorities that she was in the gym hall one day in May 2022 when O’Brien came towards her.

According to the Daily Record, O’Brien told the child she had to go to his classroom to take a math test that she had “missed”.

However, when she arrived at the classroom, no other students were there and she was alone with the sick teacher.

O’Brien told her he would add her on Snapchat “if he was feeling good”, before marking her test.

When he finished he said “Congratulations, you’ve passed” before slapping her on the buttocks over her clothing.

The teenager went to the school toilets and “broke down”. Later, O’Brien added her on the social media site.

Prosecutor James Moncrieff said O’Brien told the child she had to change his name on Snapchat “for the sake of his career”.

He then asked if she was going to give him “a leaving present” as he was due to move to another school.

The girl sent him five pictures of herself wearing only underwear to which he replied: “You’re the full package, aren’t you?”

He later sent her selfies of himself taken in the school toilets with his hands down his trousers and a video showing him lowering a towel – without exposing his private parts.

O’Brien was arrested at his home in Blantyre, Lanarkshire, two weeks after the girl alerted a friend and her mum.

He pled guilty at Stirling Sheriff Court to engaging in sexual activity with a person under 18 while an adult in a position of trust, contrary to the 2009 Sexual Offences (Scotland) Act.

O’Brien was placed under social work supervision for two years and a restriction of liberty order, during which he will wear an electronic ankle tag and stay at home between 6pm and 6am for eight months.

He was also placed on the sex offenders register for five years.
