Jeff Bezos has become the latest resident of south Florida’s ‘Billionaire Bunker’ – after paying $68million for a home in the neighborhood of Ivanka Trump and Tom Brady.
The world’s third-richest man, 59, bought a waterfront mansion in Indian Creek Village in Miami’s Biscayne Bay in June, keeping his identity undisclosed at the time.
The three-bedroom property on the man-made barrier Island sits on 2.8 acres and was built in 1965.
It was previously owned by a company with ties to Panama called MTM Star International, which obtained it for $1.4 million in 1982.
The Amazon founder, who has been living the good life with fiancé Lauren Sanchez since he retirement from Amazon, is looking to buy other properties in the area, an anonymous source told Bloomberg.

Bezos, worth $195billion, has an expanding real estate profile worth nearly $600 million, which includes a $165million Beverly Hills mansion, a $78millon Hawaii mansion, and a trio of Manhattan apartments worth a total $30million.
The billionaire also owns one of the world’s most expensive superyachts, the Koru, where he and Sanchez have been spending the summer, sailing the Mediterranean,
The Miami neighborhood is known as a hotspot for the country’s wealthiest people, boasting a median house price of $29.5million and just about 40 residents.
Indian Creek Island is referred to as ‘the world’s most exclusive municipality,’ with just 34 properties available across 300 acres.
It has also become a hotbed for celebrities, like Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen were building an ‘eco-mansion’ there before they separated last year.
The home, which Brady will reportedly keep, is a short distance away from Ivanka and Jared Kushner, who bought a $30million lot on the island in late 2020 from musician Julio Iglesias.

Aptly referred to as ‘Billionaire Bunker’, the island is home to the likes of hotel magnate Jeffrey Soffer, activist Carl Icahn and Hotels.com Founder Robert Diener.
Even music’s power couple Jay Z and Beyoncé once called the island home.
Former Miami Dolphins coach Don Shula, who died in 2020, also had property there.
Bezos will now be the richest billionaire on the so-called Billionaire Bunker.
Each property boasts waterfront locations and stunning views, but the most sought after attribute is the security.

It is only accessible by a single, guarded bridge, and it has a private police force that patrols the community around-the-clock by foot, sky, and land.
The island has its own police force which guards all of the amenities, including a private 18-hole golf course and is patrolled 24 hours a day on boats and Jet Skis.
Bezos and Sanchez got engaged earlier this year, with the mogul proposing aboard his $500million superyacht.
At 417 feet long and 230feet tall, Koru is one of the world’s largest sailing yachts complete with 250 feet support vessel that boasts its own helipad.
