A woman was killed when she reportedly fell 26ft from a moving rollercoaster.
The victim, 57, is believed to have ‘slipped from her seat’ at the Klotti wildlife and leisure park in Klotten, Germany.
An investigation has been launched into whether it was ‘the result of the fault of a third party’.
But the exact circumstances remain unclear following the tragedy on Saturday.
There is currently no suspicion of criminal conduct, the Koblenz public prosecutors office stressed on Monday, according to local reports.
The woman, from St Wendel, died at the scene around 4.30pm. An autopsy will be carried out on her body.
Meanwhile, Bild reports experts will examine the rollercoaster and car to look for ‘possible causes of the accident’.
Anyone who witnessed the fatal incident is urged to come forward to police.
The park will remain closed until further notice.
It first opened in 1970 as a wildlife park and expanded to a leisure and family park in the 1990s.
Metro has contacted the Klotti wildlife and leisure park for comment.
