Sex-mad Tinder users are being offered free Covid home testing kits in the US.

The dating app is giving them away to 500 matches in a bid to get them meet up "safely" in person as the weather gets warmer.

Nicole Parlapiano, VP of Marketing for North America at Tinder, said: "The pandemic has created no shortage of dating obstacles, but we think our members are pretty optimistic about getting back out there; January 3rd Swipe activity hit 3.4 billion, which was one of the busiest days of the entire pandemic.

"We're excited to be working with Everlywell to make it easier for our members to go and meet their matches safely."

The company added in a statement: "As Spring Fever takes off, Tinder is giving 500 matches the encouragement they need to take their crush from flirt sesh on Tinder to a first IRL (In Real Life) date with free mail-in COVID-19 tests from Everlywell.

"Tinder members will be able to request a pair – one for them, and one for the match they've been eager to meet IRL.

"On the first day of Spring, Saturday March 20, members in the continental U.S. can claim a code for their free Everlywell mail-in test from the Tinder app beginning at 7 p.m. eastern time."

Tinder said 52% of Generation Z (people born in the mid 90s to early noughties) have been stuck at home with their parents, according to Pew Research.

More than 40 percent of Tinder users under the age of 30 had not met a match in person despite saying they want to in their bios as of last October, the company added.

It comes after a 21-year-old heiress said she'd dump anyone who buy her "tacky" presents like chocolate or flowers.

Saffron Drewitt-Barlow, daughter of multi-millionaires Barrie and Tony, added she’d never shop at Primark or wear the same outfit twice.

Saffron, who lives in a mansion in Florida, dislikes when men are "lazy" and don't put the effort in.

And when an ex bought her a pair of Gucci shoes she “hated”, she decided to call time on their relationship.

This week Saffron told Fabulous : “I split with my ex in December, we’d been together for six to nine months, something like that.

“I met him on Tinder and we split because he said he couldn’t keep up with the family and our spending.”

The wealthy influencer splashes out around $90,000 (around £65,000) on Christmas presents each year.

She lavishes her family members in Tiffany jewellery, designer bags and cashmere throws that cost thousands.

But Saffron said she never expects her partners to “keep up” with her.
