A stripper slammed into the ground face first after falling from a 20ft pole while dancing inside a nightclub in the US.
Genea Sky was performing at the XTC Cabaret club in Dalla, Texas, when the horrific incident happened.
Video shows the dangerous fall with gasps from onlookers audible as she slams into the light-up stage below.
But despite suffering a suspected broken jaw, chipped teeth and a sprained ankle, the dancer continued to perform, and is seen twerking on stage.
Genea has since spoken out online about the incident in a teaful video message thanking fans for their well-wishes.
She said in her Twitter video: ‘Originally I didn’t plan on posting about this situation at all.
‘But obviously the video has gone viral and I’m getting a lot of messages asking me if I’m ok.’
Wiping away tears she added: ‘I pretty much broke my jaw and I have to have surgery on it [on Monday].
‘I broke some teeth and I got a sprained ankle and I got some stitches.
‘Aside from that, I’m good.’
The dancer said she was grateful her injuries weren’t worse and that she did not suffer any broken bones in her arms, legs or spine.
‘I got up right after it happened and I’m just really overwhelmed by all the messages,’ she said.
Genea added: ‘It has been a humbling experience, to just be alive, I’m really thankful for that.’
A friend of the performer, Ayana Knowles, has set up a GoFundMe page to help cover Genea’s medical expenses.
She wrote on the page: ‘My friend Genea was in a horrible accident while she was working.
‘She now has a fractured jaw, broken teeth, and a sprained ankle. Her job does not cover the expenses of her medical bills.
‘Since she sustained such serious injuries, she will be out of work for an extended period of time.
‘Any donations towards her surgeries would be helpful and appreciated.’
The page has already raised more than the target $20,000 (around £15,500).
RCI Hospitality Holdings, the company which owns the nightclub, is yet to comment.
