An elite batch of soldiers who answer "directly to Vladimir Putin " have opened fire on a group of children in Moscow, Russia.
The botched "demonstration performances" saw one child injured in the accidental attack, which was meant to provide a "mock execution".
A Telegram channel with close ties to the Russian security forces published a video of the incident, which took place in the city of Elektrostal.

The footage allegedly showed the elite group from the Rosgvardia National Guard opening fire on spectators, thankfully with blank cartridges but leaving children "screaming" and falling to the ground as injuries at the scene were confirmed.
Russia's armed forces are separate from the Rosgvardia, the latter of which reports directly to Russian president Vladimir Putin
The Telegram channel's post read: "During demonstration performances, the fighters of the Russian Guard decided…to shoot spectators with children (fortunately, with blank cartridges).
"Small children screamed clutching their heads and fell to the ground. There were injuries. Serious damage from a bounced cartridge case."
Ukraine's national news channel has since published the footage and said the Russian soldiers opened fire "for some reason" and pointed their weapons at the spectators.

A 34-year-old woman is said to have been injured, with wounds to her cheek and jaw while a child was hospitalised with a head injury.
An investigation by Russia's Investigative Committee has since been opened, with investigators launching a probe into how the horror event unfurled.
The firing comes as Russian officials appear worried over the future of the war in Ukraine, with one Putin mouthpiece alleging superhuman gay soldiers are set to fight on the frontlines of the war.
The Daily Star reported mad Sergei Markov's claims, with the "gay super soldiers" allegedly styled after the Ancient Greeks, with the United States fuelling a brainwashing programme, according to the former advisor to Putin.
