- Mr Rodman was on holiday when he got into a heated argument with the gunman
- Dixon then chased and shot at the pair who were hospitalized from their injuries
One of two British tourists shot by a gunman in Los Angeles is a 31-year-old digital agency boss, MailOnline can reveal.
Charlie Rodman was shot in the hip while on holiday with a friend following a heated row with gunman Brandon Manyo Dixon, who is being hunted by the LAPD.
Police have now released CCTV of the July 30 shooting in the hope of finding Dixon who is wanted for attempted murder.
The holidaymakers were standing outside a Venice Beach bar when they got into a heated argument with Brandon Manyo Dixon and his friend, police said.
The fight turned physical and Dixon then chased the terrified Britons with his gun, shooting and seriously wounding the pair, while he fled the scene.
Mr Rodman was treated in hospital but is now recovering at the family home in Solihull, West Midlands.

His father Chris Rodman told MailOnline: ‘It’s been a very traumatic experience for Charlie and the family. It’s every parent’s worst nightmare.
‘He’d flown out on holiday with a friend and the two of them were also looking into a couple of possible business ventures.
‘I have to be careful with the information I give out but they got into an argument with someone and he produced a gun and fired a number of shots.
‘Charlie was hit in the hip as he ran away.
‘He was taken to hospital in LA and is now out and recovering at home. We are so thankful that he’s doing ok. It could’ve been so much worse.
‘The gunman is still on the run and needs to be caught as soon as possible.’
Mr Rodman Jnr runs Nerdy Banana, a digital agency which has worked with Selfridges, the England football team and Warner Brothers.

The head office is based in Birmingham but an office was opened in Los Angeles last year.
The shocking violence has sadly become all too common in Los Angeles, whose woke District Attorney George Gascon has been savaged for his liberal reforms that have failed to curb a soaring crime rate.
In the footage, Dixon sprints after the pair and opens fire from just a short distance behind, with one of the victims seen grabbing his chest.
Shortly afterwards the gunman also shot the other Briton, leaving the pair seriously injured, before fleeing from the scene.
One of the victims appeared to grab his chest as if he has been shot from behind by the gunman, who is seen running just a short distance behind him.
Police describe Dixon as armed and dangerous and urge members of the public to call 911 if they see him.
LAPD said in a statement: ‘The suspect, the suspect’s friend, and two United Kingdom tourists were involved in a verbal argument outside a heavily populated bar,’ a statement read.
‘The argument escalated into a physical fight and then turned violent when the suspect chased after both tourists with a gun.

‘As the tourists ran away, the suspect shot the tourists and then fled on foot from the scene.
‘Both victims sustained significant wounds from the gunshots and were hospitalized for their injuries.
‘Brandon Manyo Dixon has been identified as the person involved in the attempted murder of the United Kingdom victims.
‘Dixon should be considered armed and dangerous. If you see him, call 911 for immediate assistance.’
Gascon, who heads the nation’s largest DA office which files over 100,000 cases a year, has been slammed for his soft on crime approach.

Total violent crimes are up by 5.3 per cent this year compared to the same period last year
The liberal DA swept in during 2020 with a wave of justice reforms which have been slammed by prosecutors.
Total violent crimes are up by 5.3 per cent this year compared to the same period last year.
His reforms have allowed a double-child murdering 17-year-old who tried to cover up his crimes go free when he turns 25, and a two-time brutal rapist to push for his sentence to be reduced.
Last year, homicides climbed 12 per cent over last year, robberies were up 5.3 per cent and shootings rose by 14.8 per cent.
The Los Angeles DA was recalled in 2020 but efforts to unseat him failed.
In winter of 2021, the head of a union that represents roughly 1,000 Los Angeles County prosecutors slammed District Attorney George Gascon for keeping mum despite on the string of smash-and-grab robberies plaguing Southern California.
‘He’s created an atmosphere devoid of accountability,’ said Eric Siddall, vice president of the Association of Los Angeles Deputy District Attorneys, during an appearance on Fox News.
In August, Gascon survived yet another recall effort.
Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to contact Pacific Division Robbery Detective Jurado D or Crime Stoppers.
