The Pentagon UFO expert who says aliens HAVE crash-landed on Earth… and claims the American government is hiding their bodies
Just 85 miles north of Las Vegas is a remote corner of the Nevada desert that is believed by some to hold America’s greatest secret.
An air force base known as Area 51 — so carefully controlled that its existence was only acknowledged nearly 60 years after it opened — has long been rumoured to be where the U.S. government keeps not only an alien spacecraft but the ‘strange’ bodies of the crew who crashed it at Roswell, New Mexico, in 1947.
UFOs have been spotted repeatedly in the skies over Area 51. In 1989, a man named Bob Lazar claimed he’d worked on alien technology inside the airbase and that the government used the facility to examine alien spacecraft. The notion that extra-terrestrials have visited Earth has given rise to many conspiracy theories, but none has proved as popular as the belief that Washington knows a lot more than it is letting on.
Administration after administration has been able to brush it aside as the overactive imagination of cranks, but now a credible witness has come forward — one who is impossible to ignore.
A former U.S. intelligence official who led a Pentagon agency’s analysis of Unexplained Anomalous Phenomena (UAP), as UFOs are now called, says the U.S. government most certainly is hiding something. And something very big. According to David Grusch, a former Department of Defence official, deeply covert programmes run by the U.S. government possess ‘intact and partially intact’ craft of non-human origin that have been retrieved but kept secret over decades.

Grusch’s claims are believed to be the first by an official U.S. government representative confirming the existence of aliens.
Nick Pope, a former Ministry of Defence official who investigated UFOs for the British government, called Grusch’s revelations ‘very significant’. ‘It’s one thing to have stories on the conspiracy blogs,’ he added. ‘But this takes it to the next level, with insiders coming forward.’
Grusch has given the U.S. Congress and the Intelligence Community Inspector General, a federal watchdog, ‘extensive classified information’ about this top secret corner of the government, he told The Debrief, a respected science and technology news website.
He said he had decided to go public to give the world an ‘ontological shock’ (one that would make it think about the nature of being) and bring them together to ‘re-assess their priorities’.
In a later interview with website NewsNation he went further, claiming the U.S. government had found evidence of alien life in the downed spacecraft. ‘Well, naturally, when you recover something that’s either landed or crashed, sometimes you encounter dead pilots,’ he said.
‘And believe it or not, as fantastical as that sounds, it’s true.’
Grusch says information about these alien craft has been illegally withheld from Congress.
He says that when he handed his information to politicians in Congress — mostly transcripts of recorded conversations — he was ‘targeted and harassed’ by government officials. He left government service in April and is now suing over his treatment.
A 2020 video grab from the US Department of Defence shows interactions with ‘unidentified aerial phenomena’
It’s important to note that Grusch, 36, is hardly a textbook alien conspiracist: a highly decorated former U.S. air force combat veteran in Afghanistan, he served as an intelligence officer for more than 14 years in various hush-hush government organisations.
He was a member of the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force (set up by U.S. navy intelligence to investigate UFOs) and until last July was in charge of UFO analysis at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, part of the Pentagon.
Ex-colleagues have reportedly confirmed that Grusch is someone who shouldn’t be underestimated. A 2022 performance review seen by The Debrief called him ‘an officer with the strongest possible moral compass’.
Jonathan Grey, an intelligence officer and UFO specialist at the U.S. military’s National Air and Space Intelligence Center (Nasic), went so far as to confirm Grusch’s claim that the ‘non-human intelligence phenomenon is real’, adding: ‘We are not alone.’
Grusch says that analysis of the alien material held by the U.S. and others has determined it is of ‘exotic origin’, meaning ‘non-human intelligence, whether extra-terrestrial or unknown origin’. He said the objects had been determined to be composed of ‘unique atomic arrangements and radiological signatures’.
He has described a decades-old ‘publicly unknown Cold War for recovered and exploited physical material — a competition with near-peer adversaries over the years to identify UAP crashes/landings and retrieve the material for exploitation/reverse engineering to garner asymmetric national defence advantages’.
So, America and hostile nations have long competed to be the first to retrieve alien craft so they can analyse them (‘reverse engineering’ is a process whereby items are deconstructed to extract design information from them) for their defence benefits.
Grusch admitted he hadn’t seen the evidence himself but had spoken to plenty of senior intelligence officials who said they had.

‘I thought it was totally nuts and I thought at first I was being deceived, it was a ruse,’ he said. ‘People started to confide in me. I have plenty of senior, former intelligence officers that came to me, many of which I knew almost my whole career, that confided they were part of a programme.’
The existence of that programme, of which he was given documentary evidence and ‘other proof’, had been withheld from the UAP Task Force of which he was a member, he said.
‘There is a sophisticated disinformation campaign targeting the U.S. populace which is extremely unethical and immoral,’ he said.
In 2021, the UAP Task Force’s unclassified report found ‘no clear indications that there is any non-terrestrial explanation’ for a string of UFOs spotted by military pilots, but also did not rule it out.
The Pentagon said this week that its UFO investigation arm ‘has not discovered any verifiable information’ to substantiate Grusch’s claims. Others say we’ve heard much the same claims before (albeit not from anyone in Grusch’s position) and what is needed is concrete evidence.
Unfortunately, given that the information passed to Congress is classified, even congressmen who believe it deserves a wider audience are not allowed to reveal it.
But Grusch’s allegations have not come out of the blue. There has been increasing evidence that Washington is becoming less sceptical about UFOs and aliens.
That curiosity has been fuelled by warnings from experts that, for all the sightings that turn out to be odd reflections, flecks on a camera lens or just ordinary planes, there’s evidence of advanced aircraft that simply cannot be explained.
Six years ago, it was revealed that former U.S. senator Harry Reid got $22 million in defence funding to investigate UFOs.
In 2020, the Pentagon confirmed that three declassified videos of U.S. navy fighter pilots encountering what appear to be UFOs were legitimate rather than fake.
The videos related to training missions over the Pacific in 2004 and 2014 in which the pilots encountered objects that flew at extraordinary speeds and with manoeuvrability way beyond current aviation technology. Alex Dietrich, one of six fighter pilots who encountered a ‘Tic-Tac shaped’ UFO off San Diego in 2004 later said her navy colleagues kept quiet about what they saw for fear of being labelled ‘kooky’.
In the late 1970s, Ground Saucer Watch, a U.S.-wide research organisation comprising around 500 scientists and engineers, claimed to have sworn statements from several retired air force colonels that at least two alien craft had crash-landed and been recovered by the U.S. military.
One crashed in Mexico in 1948 and the other in Arizona in 1953, they said. The unidentified ex-officers reportedly said they glimpsed dead aliens who were about 4ft tall with silverish complexions and wearing silver outfits that ‘seemed fused to the body from the heat’.
America’s institutions have sent out conflicting messages as to whether Washington knows something we don’t. The CIA, for instance, claimed it stopped investigating them in 1952, a lie that wasn’t exposed until 1979.
In 2020, then-President Donald Trump said he would not disclose what he had learned about aliens.
And last year, Barack Obama told chat show host James Corden: ‘When I came into office, I asked, “Is there the lab somewhere where we’re keeping the alien specimens and space ship?” They did a bit of research and the answer was no.’
If Grusch is correct, Obama’s aides maybe should have dug deeper into that remote corner of Nevada.
