Wacky vegans have stripped off and covered themselves in fake blood and cling film to pose as packages of “human meat” in a protest.
Dedicated activists took to Piccadilly Circus in London today (November 1) to mark World Vegan Day with baffled shoppers watching on as they slapped labels including “carbon neutral” and “free-range” on themselves.
The striking images – with protesters sprawled along the floor in bloodied packets – are supposed to convince shoppers that meat branded as ethical is meaningless and they should instead switch to vegan products.

Pictures showed passers-by stopping to look at campaigners as they lay on the pavement in the huge replica meat packets.
As part of the protest, PETA Senior Campaigns Manager Kate Werner made the remarkable claim that anyone who claims to eat “humane” meat “may as well eat another human”.
“This World Vegan Day, PETA is urging everyone to ditch meat and keep the body count from stacking up,” she added.
The animal rights group pointed to cruelty to pigs, cows, chickens and other animals they say takes place in UK farms.

They say they want people to pay attention to the dark, dirty pens and illness allegedly seen in areas of the meat production industry.
In a statement on their website, PETA said it “opposes speciesism, a human-supremacist worldview, and focuses its attention on the four areas in which the largest numbers of animals suffer the most intensely for the longest periods of time…

Primary school vandalised by sick racists after hiring black headteacher
It’s far from the first time vegan protesters have caused a stir with a bloody stunt and notorious animal rights activist Tash Peterson routinely makes headlines for bizarre protests using fake blood.
Earlier this year, the Australian OnlyFans star paraded around a Louis Vuitton store in a nude-coloured G-string as she squeezed a bottle of "blood" on the shop floor.
She then played audio of dying animals yelping in pain to bemused customers who watched on.
