A notorious biker boss who narrowly escaped a deadly assassination has been arrested just months after the brutal execution attempt.
Tarek Zahed, 42, was arrested in connection with the death of Youssef Assoum, 29, who was found bleeding near a hospital in Sydney in 2014.
It comes shortly after Tarek and his brother Omar, 39, were targeted in an execution-type shooting while they were at BodyFit gym in Auburn on May 10 this year.

Omar was pronounced dead at the scene after going into cardiac arrest, reports NewsAU.
Tarek managed to survive the attack despite sustaining injuries to his body and head.
He was hospitalised for months following the shooting, with reports suggesting that his vision was severely affected.
It has been reported that before the attack, cops warned the brothers that Tarek had a $1million bounty on his life.
NSW Police issued a statement regarding his arrest and said: "As part of an ongoing investigation, a 42-year-old man was arrested by Tactical Operations Unit (TOU) officers during a vehicle stop on New South Head Road at Edgecliff about 4.50pm today (Sunday 28 August 2022).
“He’s been taken to Surry Hills Police Station.

Officers shot out the windows of a black BMW hatchback with bean bag pellets before they managed to arrest him, according to the Telegraph.
Days before his arrest he was spotted for the first time since the assassination attempt.
Comanchero national president Allan Meehan recently posted a photo on Instagram of Zahed and others at a restaurant with the caption: “Welcome back Tarek ‘hard2kill’ Zahed“.
Meehan then re-shared the image on his story and said: “Love and brotherhood. Forget what ya heard.”
