A “BDSM slave” used a knife and hammer to kill the boyfriend of his dominatrix, a court heard.
In July 2021, Stuart Lindsay Heron, 50, killed Nicholas Cameron, 39, while the latter was out for a dog walk in Melbourne, Australia.
In March, Heron pleaded guilty and on Monday (August 21) faced a pre-sentence hearing at Victoria Supreme Court.

On July 9, he waited until after midnight having posted up at 8:05pm to carry out the attack in a plan labelled “hair-brained”.
He had also waited outside of the victim’s house for seven hours five days prior.
It is understood that Heron told his dominatrix and co-offender Heidi Bos, 37, the partner of Cameron, that he would scare him out of town.
The couple were said to have been having issues, Metro reports.
Heron told Bos: “I’m 99% certain I can convince him to never contact you again, my lady.”
In May 2021, Heron had labelled Cameron an “ungrateful f***wit”.
She is then understood to have given permission for him to confront him following an argument on July 9.
Investigations on Heron’s phone would later find collective documents about Cameron’s life, from the code to his lockbox to pictures of his dog, inside a folder titled “target”.
The night of the attack, Heron initially went to the wrong place, before hiding behind a pillar.
When Cameron stepped out to take his dog Misty for a walk Heron began an 11-minute attack.
Cameron had 12 skull fractures.
He was pronounced 12:45am on July 10 and Heron was arrested inside the building.
He was found with a knife, a hammer, a dog lead and still covered in blood.
It was heard in the court that Heron told a psychologist the killing was “the worst decision he’s made in his life”.
Justice Michael Croucher said: “It’s strange and surprising, the whole thing. Heron seems to have been infatuated with Ms Bos, he’s lonely, his other relationship ended, he was hopeful of something more with her.
“He’s in this strange fantasy world of a subservient relationship and for whatever reason, he agrees to this hairbrained scheme.”
In February, Bos was jailed for six years and three months after admitting to manslaughter.
Heron is to be sentenced on September 8.
