Metro Denver residents will see sunny skies and breezy conditions Tuesday with temperatures below average for spring.
The high temperature in Denver will be 52 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. The wind is expected to increase in the afternoon, blowing at speeds up to 9 miles per hour. The temperatures will stay about 5 to 15 degrees below spring norms, the weather service forecasters said.
In Colorado’s mountains, high temperatures likely will hover a few degrees above freezing.
No rain or snow was expected along the Front Range, forecasters said.
Mostly sunny and breezy days were expected over the next few days with wind speeds increasing, kicking up dust.
For the southeastern corner of Colorado, the weather service has issued a fire watch due to low humidity of less than 15% and winds at speeds up to 55 miles per hour — creating conditions favorable for fire to spread rapidly.
