Brexiteers crowd fund for new documentary to take on Rejoiners
Deputy chairman of the Conservative Party Lee Anderson has claimed that Brexit is at risk if the Tories are ousted at the next election.
He warned against Labour taking office, telling the Daily Express: “If Sir Keir [Starmer] gets his hands on the keys to No10 he would drag the UK back into the EU.
“He may say he respects Brexit, but as we already know he always breaks his promises.
“After all, this is the same man who campaigned for a second referendum and wants to reopen negotiations with the EU. Only the Conservatives respect the will of the people and can keep Brexit safe.”
A new Express.co.uk poll has shown that more than four in five readers agree that Brexit is at risk if the Conservative Party loses at the next election.
In a poll that ran from 1pm on Thursday, May 11, to 11.30am on Friday, May 12, Express.co.uk asked readers: “Is Brexit at risk if Tories lose next election?”
Overall, 3,536 votes were cast with the overwhelming majority, 83 percent (2,951 people) answering, “yes”, Brexit is at risk, whereas 15 percent (522 people) said, “no”, it is not. A further two percent (63 people) said they did not know either way.
