ELLIE Gould was studying for her A-levels when she was murdered by a teenage boy in her family home.

Here is what we know about the senseless killing.

Who was Ellie Gould and what happened to her?

Ellie Gould was a 17-year-old sixth former at Hardenhuish School who was murdered in her parent’s home in Calne, Wilts.

Thomas Griffiths, 18, knifed Ellie at least 13 times in her family home – with the 17-year-old girl found in a "pool of blood" by her horrified dad hours later.

She was pronounced dead after emergency services were called to the house at 3.15pm on May 3.

Ellie's father, Matthew, and mother, Carole, 48, own a kitchen fitting business, and she is survived by her 19-year-old brother Ben.

Her family described her as “a joy to be around” and told of her work for her favourite charity, Riding for the Disabled.

What was her cause of death?

Ellie died from multiple stab wounds.

She had been been murdered by Thomas Griffiths, who lived 2.5 miles from Ellie in Derry Hill and attended the same school.

According to pals, Thomas stabbed Ellie to death after she refused to be his girlfriend.

School friends told the MailOnline that when Ellie said she was "too busy" for a relationship, he attacked her.

Griffiths was arrested seven miles away in Chippenham, Wilts, soon after she died.

He initially denied all knowledge of the murder.

Has Thomas Griffiths faced justice?

Yes, he pleaded guilty to the brutal knife murder at Bristol Crown Court on Thursday, August 29.

He was caged for over twelve years on 8 November 2019.

Judge Peter Blair QC, lifted reporting restrictions after Griffiths admitted the “extremely grave” crime.

Restrictions were also lifted on the release of a sneering mugshot picture of the fresh-faced young killer.

Griffiths, wearing a white shirt and dark blue suit, has been remanded in custody until his sentencing on November 8.
