The owner of an XL Bully was forced to hide up a tree in pitch black darkness as his bloodthirsty dog circled below after biting him on the hand.
The terrified man dialled 999 after he was attacked by his XL Bully before a West Midlands Police drone team located him using night vision cameras.
Four officers arrived at the scene and quickly captured the dog after the attack last night, Monday, March 13.

Birmingham Live reported that the force's drone team discovered him after he rang the emergency services for help.
The animal, which is not a banned breed in the UK and can be legally owned, was detained by the police's dog unit.
Taking to Twitter, WMP Eye in the Sky posted: "This owner of a XL Bully Dog fled up a tree and called police having been bit on the hand by his own dog.
"Watch as the dog and owner are located in a park in complete darkness by our drone team and the dog is detained by @WMPDogs. PD (Log 3861 refers)."
Fears over the breed were raised by celebrity vet Marc Abraham, who has appeared on a string of television shows. He told The Argus they were "status symbols" rather than pets and can be used as "weapons".
"These dogs are a nightmare when they are in the wrong hands. And the trouble is, very few people have the right hands.
"These dogs have low frustration thresholds. Coupled with the fact they often aren't exercised enough because they are status dogs, they can act dangerously. Genetically, they are compromised in terms of communication with other dogs and then they are trained to be killers."
In October last year, Liverpool grandmother Ann Dunn was reportedly mauled to death in her home by five Bully XL dogs.
The US United Kennel Club recognised the American Bully as a breed in 2013. The American Bully XL is still legal in the UK.
The 'XL' is cited in response to the dog's size category, which sits among three others named pocket, standard and classic, reports The Sun.
It has been reported that the XL tends to measure at 33-50cm in height, and weighs in at 20-60kg.
