A car-loving millionaire was left fuming after discovering his beloved £131,000 Audi R8 had been vandalised overnight with graffiti.
Single Alex Bakita was baffled to read "cheater" and "a** hole" scrawled across his white supercar and was set to call the police when the perpetrators gave themselves up.
Rage turned to bemusement when rather than a jealous ex admitting to the offensive spray paint, it was Alex's scheming best mates who fancied a laugh.

They planned on returning the next morning to record his reaction as he discovered what had happened, but their plan was foiled when Alex's security lights went off, forcing them to make a run for it.
The 24-year-old thought it would cost thousands at the very least to remove the spray paint and could even lead to the car being scrapped altogether.
He said: “The second I saw it I was like what the f***? Why would anyone do that? I didn’t even have a girlfriend at the time so how could I be a cheater.
“When I wound back the CCTV I could see a couple of people dressed in black with spray cans trashing my car.
“I was f****** p***ed and was going to ring the cops.”
Fearing that they could be charged with wasting police time, Alex’s friends admitted the prank and revealed they had used removable spray paint.
They were going to wait until the morning and video him as he came out of the house, but when their prank was rumbled they thought had better confess before he got the police involved.
“I was still p***ed when they told me because I wasn’t convinced it would come off without damaging the paintwork,” he said.
“It did thankfully so I was able to smile about it after.
“But in a way I was also p***ed off at myself. I always kept it in a locked garage apart from that one time and I couldn’t believe how unlucky I’d been.”
Alex – who is worth £3.5m after making a fortune in ecommerce – has since gone on to use his fortune to buy even more luxury vehicles.
His collection now includes a £84,000 Ford Raptor pickup truck, a £91,000 Mercedes AMG and a £17,000 off-road Polaris RZR.
He said: “Cars have always been a big part of my life and I can’t see them ever not being.

“Some people might say it’s a waste of money but then I’d probably think the same with how they spend their money.
“The only message I want to send is that people can achieve great things when they overcome the fears which constrain them.
“That’s why I’ve succeeded. Five years ago I was working on building sites for $11-an-hour – now I’m a multimillionaire.
“If I can do it, then so can you.”
