Princess of Wales Kate Middleton has said that both Prince George and Princess Charlotte had broken a royal Christmas tradition.
The cheeky story which occurred last year marked the young royals as uncaring in the face of Germanic roots, instead hoping to get a peek at their presents early in the day.
George, now nine, and Charlotte, now seven, are said to have been "up very early" on Christmas morning to open their gifts, something that does not quite line up with the traditions set out by the family.

But a tradition broken by the pair of young royals last year appears to go against their German descent.
Former royal chef Darren McGrady said: "The royals are of German descent so they weave in German traditions to their celebrations. After afternoon tea, they open gifts on Christmas Eve, as is the German tradition."
Said tradition appears to have been broken last year, with Kate revealing the family were "up very early" to unwrap their gifts.
The revelation came after letting slip the information to a royal fan waiting outside the church, who was hoping to get a glimpse of the family, presumably after they had broken tradition and opened their gifts.
Said gifts, however, are more practical than anything else as reports indicate Kate does not like extravagant, tech-related gifts.

Royal expert Katie Nicholl spoke of the gift style, saying: "George enjoys his iPad at school, both he and Charlotte are quite tech-savvy and, like most children, there probably are technical gadgets and such like on their wish list.
"I'm sure they're not going to want for anything, but when it comes to technology and screens, they are careful not to spoil them with extravagant gifting.
"If it is something that happens to be a computer game or something like that then they are cautious of screen time so it could be a more practical gift."
It comes as Daily Star revealed the upcoming Royal Family plans, who mark their first Christmas celebrations without Queen Elizabeth II.
