Police have launched an appeal in their hunt for a man who nabbed more than £1,000 worth of luxury Champagne from a supermarket.
The suspect went into a Sainsbury’s in Camberley, Surrey, at around 10am on February 20 and managed to sneak out with 22 bottles.
These included bottles of Bollinger, Laurent Perrier, Moët & Chandon and Veuve Clicquot. The expensive fizz cost an average of £50 per bottle.

Police valued the total amount stolen at £1,073.
Yesterday (Wednesday, March 8) police released a CCTV snap of the suspected Champagne thief. He was described as white, in his 40s and around 5ft 11in tall with slicked back brown hair flecked with grey.
He was wearing a dark coat, dark trousers and black trainers. Police also noted that he had a tattoo on his hand.
A spokesman for Surrey Police said: "We’re appealing for information after a man stole 22 bottles of champagne worth £1,073 from a supermarket in Camberley.
"On Monday, February 20, 2023, shortly after 10am, a man walked into the Sainsbury’s in Watchmoor Park in Camberley, where he bagged bottles of bubbly including Bollinger, Laurent Perrier, Moët & Chandon and Veuve Clicquot, and then left the store without paying.
"While we can appreciate the feeling of wanting to live a champagne lifestyle on lemonade wages, we cannot condone theft and therefore we would like to speak to the individual pictured in this CCTV image about this incident."
Anyone with information can contact Surrey Police by calling 101, quoting PR/45230019858, online at surrey.police.uk, or independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
