One of two pedestrians struck in downtown in a hit-and-run crash has died and police are looking for the driver who fled the scene.
The incident happened at about 4:26 a.m. Saturday as two pedestrians were crossing 15th Street at Stout Street, police said. The driver fled the scene without stopping and the vehicle, a blue, full-sized Ford SUV, hit property at Arapahoe and 15th streets. Both pedestrians were taken to the hospital and on Saturday afternoon police announced the death of one victim.
Anyone with information on the incident, the vehicle or a suspect, is asked to call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867 (STOP).
