A sex-obsessed teacher who slept with a 15-year-old pupil after grooming him with sexual messages sensationally claimed it was her ex that ruined their relationship, not her.
Kandice Barber was jailed for six years and two months in March 2021 after being found guilty of grooming a child, taking him to a field and kissing him on the neck before asking him: "What do you want to do now?"
The 37-year-old, from Buckinghamshire, then had sex with the boy, although she later threatened to falsely accuse him of rape if he reported her.

Her ex-husband has spoken of his despair after staying by her side during the two-week trial and beyond.
Daniel told the Daily Mmail: "Until you're in that position when it's your wife or your husband and you're living that life, you don't know what you're going to do.
"She was adamant she was innocent. I loved her and I believed her."
During the trial however, Daniel was humiliated as his wife's text messages read out in court, including one that said: "You have a bigger penis than my husband."
Daniel, 40, has settled down with a new partner who he met in June last year. The pair are expecting a baby boy in the autumn, it is reported.
The dad, who has two teenagers of his own, says he was also concerned about splitting up Barber's three children, whom she had from two previous relationships.
He initially took them to visit her in prison, but now hasn't seen her for almost a year. Daniel told of his struggle dealing with the backlash that followed Barber's arrest and claims she maintained her innocence while in prison.

But he had doubts and says he "began to see her differently" when she phoned him one evening and "wanted to be romantic". Around a month after Barber was jailed, Daniel's stepdad died, followed a few months later by his sister.
He said he was supported by his best friends and also began talking to a woman online who "made him feel better about himself".
He added: "When Kan found out, she said I'd broken her heart and that I'd destroyed the marriage.
I said: 'I've destroyed it? Not you being in prison, but me?'" Daniel says he last saw his ex-wife – who is on temporary prison release – while going home to collect some of his belongings in January.
