Ex-Marine who ditched military after nudes were leaked shares ‘scary’ AI warning

An ex-US Marine who swapped the military for a saucier career has warned of the dangers of "crazy" deepfakes.

Taylor Gunner, 29, started making adult films full-time after her ex-boyfriend leaked her explicit snaps online.

Now she campaigns for better protection for women who have been victims of revenge porn and spoke about her fears over deepfakes as artificial intelligence (AI) becomes more advanced.

"Deepfakes are crazy. [They're] changing the industry for sure," she said.

"AI has come so far that it is kind of scary.

"But also, it's never going to be perfect. There's always going to be something a little bit off about it in my opinion, you can kind of tell if something's AI.

"But I don't really know, nobody would have thought the technology [would be] where it's at now 10 years ago, so I guess we'll see."

Taylor's own ordeal began when she and her boyfriend at the time started partner swapping.

"He wanted me to be hooking up with more men so that he could hook up with other people," Taylor told the Daily Star.

"Without asking for my permission, he made a whole Twitter account with all of my nudes on the Internet.

"The whole thing was very shocking."

Taylor initially made her partner delete the account and all the snaps – but then grew curious about what people thought of her X-rated photos.

"There was curiosity with what was going on," the adult film star added.

"After curiosity was flattery with all the nice comments."

While Taylor wasn't happy about the incident at first, it pushed her to start making X-rated content online – and it was so successful she was able to give up all her other jobs.

"I started doing adult content because all of my nudes were leaked all over the Internet," she said.

"That's what I do full-time now, I've left all my other jobs.

"It's actually been kind of a healing experience, so it's been pretty good."
