Meghan’s future ‘opaque as ever’ after lucrative deals dry up and rumours mount

Meghan Markle's future looks "opaque as ever" as she attempts to forge a new celebrity identity for herself, according to a royal expert.

The Duchess of Sussex will celebrate her 42nd birthday this Friday (August 4) after a year of ups and downs.

And as the big day looms, commentator Richard Fitzwilliams has issued a damning prediction for the couple's next 12 months.

"The future of the Sussexes is as opaque as ever and [Meghan's] new agent Ari Emmanuel and William Morris Endeavour have yet to find a new path for her, whilst scepticism about her abilities mounts," Fitzwilliams told the Daily Star.

"[The Sussexes] have habitually trashed the royal family but what can they really offer?"

The ex-Suits star recently signed with agent William Morris Endeavor (WME) after the Spotify contract she shared with husband Prince Harry was dropped.

After the pair "mutually parted ways" with the streaming giant in June, it was rumoured their Netflix contract had been threatened and the couple were scrambling to come up with new content ideas.

Sources in Hollywood also claimed Meghan was looking for solo work and was looking to rebrand – possibly without Harry.

Royal expert Kinsey Schofield told the Daily Star: "I think we will see Meghan continue to try to brand herself away from Prince Harry.

"She wants to be seen as chic and sophisticated. Ambitious. She does not appreciate the ‘difficult’ label that she currently has splashed across her forehead."

The rumours also come amid unsubstantiated claims the pair were "taking time apart" following financial pressures.

"They're trying to figure out what hit them," a source told RadioOnline, adding that "Harry doesn't fit in Meghan's tacky Tinseltown world" and needs to "find himself."

The claims sent shockwaves around the globe, but a source close to the couple told Page Six: "It’s not true, it’s literally made up."

And now the couple have appeared to rubbish the rumours themselves after the pair issued a series of previously-unseen photos together.

The snaps were taken from an Archewell video update where the ex-royal duo phoned up members of their Foundation who had been awarded places on the Youth Power Fund advisory committee to congratulate them.
