The Duchess of Sussex has spoken publicly about her struggles with her mental health during her time as a royal, admitting that she had been left weeping during an event at the Royal Albert Hall.

And, after Deepika addressed her own mental health, Meghan took the opportunity to relay her own dark experiences.
She explained: "I remember at my worst point, being finally connected to someone that my husband had found a referral for me to call, and I called this woman, she didn't know I was even calling her, and she was checking out at the grocery store.
"I could hear the little beeps [of the checkout], and I was introducing myself, and I could literally hear her going, 'wait, sorry, who is this?'
"She could hear the dire state that I was in. I think it's for all of us to be honest about what it is you need and to not be afraid to make peace with that."
Shortly after leaving the Royal Family, the topic of Meghan's mental health came to the fore when she was interviewed by Oprah Winfrey with Prince Harry and revealed the toll that life in the royal institution had taken on her wellbeing.
This included the former royal alleging that she was having suicidal thoughts and was thinking of harming herself, with Meghan observing: "This was very clear, and very scary."
The Duchess has since launched her Spotifyt podcast series Archetypes, which arrived this sumnmer almost two years after Meghan and Harry signed a lucrative deal with the streaming giant.
