A Brit EuroMillions winner has come forward to claim the £111.7million jackpot won in the UK last night.

The life-changing sum of cash was obtained by an unnamed Brit following the draw on Friday, lottery operators Camelot have confirmed.

Winning £11,709,000 in total, one lucky winner bagged the massive prize using just one ticket in the public draw.

Lottery bosses are now set to validate the winner's ticket before he is given the chance to go public with his identity, or remain anonymous as one of the UK's newest millionaires.

Andy Carter, Senior Winner's Advisor at The National Lottery, said: "It is wonderful news that a lucky ticket-holder has claimed this incredible prize.

"We will now focus on supporting the ticket-holder through the validation and help them start to enjoy their win."

The unnamed individual's win comes as one of the largest ever wins in EuroMillions history, quite shy off from the record-breaking £195million win.

An anonymous ticket holder previously bagged an eye-watering £46million in the draw last month.

Camelot has since revealed a total of over £820million has been won by UK ticket-holders in just the last year, with a lucky streak seemingly shaping up for some lotto players.

The Daily Star had earlier reported the hunt for the ticket winner, who was told they had a "fantastic night" and needed to check their ticket and put in a claim.

Said player has since formalised their claim to the ticket, with the winning numbers of 03, 12, 15, 25, 43, and an additional pair of 10 and 11 matching their winning ticket.

It comes as one couple celebrated their lotto win in bizarre fashion, with a golden penis-shaped God, which they credit for their win, The Daily Star reported.
