BRITS are bracing for commuter chaos and power cuts as the UK is set to be battered by strong winds.
A yellow weather alert for rain and wind has been put in place by the Met Office for parts of the nation.
It covers parts of the southeast and some of Wales – and forecasters are warning that Brits should prepare for the storm.
Meanwhile the east of Northern Ireland has also been slapped with a yellow rain warning.
They Met Office say bus and train services will probably be affected with journey times taking longer.
Meanwhile some delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport are likely.

The warning is in place from 3am Wednesday until 8am on Thursday morning.
