- Shocking revelations revealed in Rebekah Vardy’s explosive Whatsapp texts
- The WAG had separately described both Wayne and Coleen Rooney as ‘c***’
- Foul-mouthed messages came to light as evidence in their £3million libel trial
Rebekah Vardy’s foul-mouthed tirades where she blasted Coleen Rooney as a ‘c***’ and ‘stupid cow’ formed a key part of the Wagatha Christie libel trial as the full scale of the war of the WAGS was unveiled at London’s High Court.
Once the bombshell £3million courtroom showdown came to a close, both parties’ lawyers revealed the jaw-dropping WhatsApp messages sent by Mrs Vardy.
In one text, she described her rival Mrs Rooney as a ‘c***’ after it emerged she had unfollowed her on Instagram and blasted her as a ‘nasty b***’.
Later messages shed a light on the united front the Vardy’s adopted when allegations were published that former England strikers Wayne Rooney and Jamie were warring during the Euro 2016 competition.
Coleen Rooney’s legal team initially described the messages as a classic ‘smoking gun’ – as the pair’s High Court legal battle ramped up earlier this year.
Below, MailOnline details the timeline of the release of the bombshell WhatsApp messages that formed crucial context to the epic Wagatha Christie trial.

JANUARY 2019: Ms Vardy texts Miss Watt and is said to have described Coleen as a ‘nasty b****… I’ve taken a big dislike to her! She thinks she’s amazing…Would love to leak those stories’
FEBRUARY 2019: Ms Watt and Rebekah realise Coleen has unfollowed them on Instagram. In a series of messages, Rebekah, who is married to Leicester City striker Jamie, 35, is said to have described Coleen as a ‘nasty b****’ and a ‘c***’, while Ms Watt brands the wife of former Manchester United star Wayne Rooney as ‘trash’ and ‘up her own ar**’
OCTOBER 2019: The pair discuss their response to Coleen’s now infamous Wagatha Christie claims. The text messages are said to show Rebekah describing Mrs Rooney as a ‘b***’ and a ‘c***’
In the first trove of WhatsApps, Rebekah, who is married to Leicester City striker Jamie, 35, is said to have viciously described Coleen as a ‘nasty b****’ and a ‘c***’, while Ms Watt brands the wife of former Manchester United star Wayne Rooney as ‘trash’ and ‘up her own ar**’.
In other exchanges, the duo discuss how they plan to react after mother-of-four Coleen unfollowed Ms Vardy on Instagram – which her lawyers say was the source of the leaks.
Rebekah allegedly wrote of their social media war: ‘Stupid cow deserves everything she gets! Hope she gets sold out massively now.’
The incendiary messages sent between Ms Vardy and Ms Watt were forwarded to Coleen’s lawyers at their offices in Manchester at the end of 2021 as part of the disclosure exercise ahead of the trial.
Within the exchanges, which began in February 2019, Rebekah twice calls Coleen a ‘c***’ after she realises she was unfollowed on Instagram on February 6.
Mrs Vardy later warns: ‘Not having her bad mouth me to anyone…if she’s doing that my god she will be sorry.’
A month earlier she had texted Miss Watt and is said to have described Coleen as a ‘nasty b****… I’ve taken a big dislike to her! She thinks she’s amazing…Would love to leak those stories.’
Mrs Vardy’s lawyers said she was referring to someone else in the text messages.
The pair are even said to have discussed a cover-up story that would have blamed ‘one of the girls in the office’ if further evidence arose that squarely pinned Ms Watt and Ms Vardy as being behind the leaks.

In later messages, Rebekah hits back at newspaper reports claiming her footballer husband Jamie had been asked to request she ‘lower’ her social media profile.
The trial heard that in 2016 during the European Championship, England Captain Wayne was taken aside by manager Roy Hodgson and ordered to have a word with Jamie, to suggest he asked his wife to ‘calm down’ her media activities.
When a report of the exchange was published in the Independent, a furious Rebekah texted a link to Jamie, along with the comment: ‘Seriously???’
Jamie replied: ‘No, not at all babes x,’ with Rebekah adding: ‘T**ts trying to make me into a scapegoat x.’ Jamie then responded: ‘F***ing a**holes x’.
The united Vardys continue in similar vein before they sign off with Jamie texting about the media: ‘Build us up to smash us back down x’.
Rebekah then said: ‘Yeah, exactly,’ with Jamie adding: ‘F*** them. They ain’t bringing us down x’
The lawyers for both sides agreed to release this fascinating bundle of hundreds of documents which formed crucial evidence throughout the seven-day case at the High Court.
