A man heroically saved his friend from the deadly clutches of a crocodile by stabbing it in the head.
The pals were crabbing at Western Australian tourist hotspot, Horizontal Falls when a fearsome reptile 'leapt out' the water and clamped down on one of their heads.
It was not until the victim's mate stuck a knife through the croc's head that it released its grip and the crabber was rushed to hospital for treatment understood to not be serious.

News of the attack and his quick thinking fight back was revealed by a caller to Radio 6PR and confirmed by the Royal Flying Doctor's Service which said it gave first aid advice over the phone.
During the conversation with the radio station, a caller explained how the men were pounced upon by a crocodile as they crabbed near the falls.
Fortunately due to the nature of their activity, a knife was close to hand and proved to be potentially life saving when used to stab the beast in the head.
According to the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attraction, (DBCA) the reptile was up to 9ft 8ins long and may be removed from the area if it looks likely to strike again.
A spokesperson from DBCA told Daily Mail Australia: "An interaction between a 2-3 metre estuarine crocodile and two members of the public at Cyclone Creek, Talbot Bay in Lalang-Gaddam Marine Park was reported to the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions on Monday.
"If a crocodile matching the description of the one involved in yesterday’s incident is located and continuing to pose a risk to public safety, an operational decision may be made to remove the animal."
