‘Traumatised’ father pulls his two-year-old daughter from nursery after finding her covered in blood: Family file complaint after little Delilah had to have a cut above her eye glued shut in A&E – and teaching staff could not say what caused her injury
- Neil Dumoulin’s daughter has been pulled from nursery after a nursery incident
- It is said that the two-year-old smacked into a chair which cut above her eye
A toddler was rushed to hospital following a shocking nursery incident that left her covered in blood, reports say.
‘Traumatised’ Neil Dumoulin has taken his daughter out of nursery after she needed a cut above her eye glued shut at A&E.
While little Delilah was said to have smacked into a chair, YorkshireLive claims it was not the first time she sustained injuries at Little Green Rascals in York.
Now, it is understood that a ‘robust’ investigation is underway, with Delilah left distressed and in pain following the incident on Monday.
Little Green Rascals told the publication that safety is a ‘top priority’, adding that it was ‘saddened’ by the accident.

A spokesman said: ‘We are conducting a robust investigation and a summary of findings will be shared with the parents at the point of conclusion.
‘We liaise and work with regulatory bodies where applicable and are in contact with the Local Authority and Ofsted.’
Although Mr Dumoulin said his daughter was ‘clumsy’, he had also filed a previous complaint about cuts she sustained while playing.
It appeared that Monday’s incident was the final straw, with the girl being pulled from nursery once the 1.5cm cut was glued shut.

An initial accident review reportedly claimed that staff members did not see how Delilah had injured herself.
But it is understood that Delilah told staff she had bumped into a chair.
A Little Green Rascals nursery was also inspected by Ofsted late last year after a child ran out of the premises in September.
In response, the nursery provider enhanced its security by adding another fenced area and changing its locks.
But a further visit was conducted that same month, raising ‘additional areas of concern’ which were not disclosed.
By October, Ofsted said it had responded to the ‘actions set’.
MailOnline has approached Little Green Rascals and Ofsted for comment.
