Police say a driver was lucky to escape with minor injuries after the van they were in hit a train with more than 100 passengers aboard in West Gippsland.
Emergency services were called to a collision between the Melbourne-bound V/Line train and the delivery van in Yarragon at 8.20am on Tuesday.

A police spokesperson said the driver of the van was taken to hospital for assessment, but no train passengers were injured.
The van sustained significant damage and its contents ended up sprawled across the railway crossing.
Police are investigating the collision and have called on anyone who saw the smash or has footage of it to contact Crime Stoppers.
A V/Line spokesman thanked passengers for their patience following the crash.

He said there were major delays on the Traralgon and Bairnsdale lines after the collision.
Coaches replaced trains for several hours and trains resumed shortly before midday.
V/Line has advised the Office of the National Rail Safety Regulator and will conduct an investigation into the crash.
