An unlucky bloke just managed to survive a flesh-eating bacteria that he was infected with after being bitten by a relative while trying to break up a fight.
Florida man Donnie Adams was at a family party in Tampa when a fight broke out between two of his relatives.
He was bitten by one of them while trying to tear them apart.
While he immediately took himself to a hospital to get antibiotics, his condition quickly became worse.

“By the third day, my leg was very sore. I couldn't walk, it was very warm and very painful,” Donnie told theTampa Bay Times.
After coming back to hospital, his doctor gave him horrifying news, informing the man that he was suffering from “necrotizing fasciitis”, a rare infection that destroys flesh and can cause death in a matter of days.
The infection was seen growing from his thigh all the way to his groin, leaving a bright red streak of infected flesh.
Doctors immediately went to work and cut out 70% of the front of Donnie’s thigh, saving his leg and potentially his life.
They said that while they had never seen necrotizing fasciitis come from human beings, they weren’t surprised by what happened.

“A human bite is dirtier than a dog bite as far as the kinds of bacteria that grows,” wound care specialist Fritz Brink, who treated Donnie, said.
“Normal bacteria in an abnormal spot can be a real problem.”
Donnie needed at least three weeks to recover from the surgery, but is currently in the middle of a six month programme to fully heal from the episode.
Thankfully, he no longer has any functional problems, though he has a nasty, visible scar on his thigh from the surgery.

Despite this, Donnie has maintained a positive attitude about the entire process and owes his recovery to both doctors, as well as praying and meditating regularly.
“What you see now, you see not just a scar, but the beauty of the aftermath,” he said.
“I would've never imagined that a human bite would turn into something so horrific as a flesh-eating bacteria.”
