Oracle disclosed last week that CEO Safra Catz got a base salary of $950,000 and roughly $14,000 in other compensation in its last fiscal year.

How would that compare with other Oracle employees?

Like other major corporations, Oracle is now required to disclose the ratio of its CEO's pay to median total compensation received by its 135,000 employees and executives. In its last proxy filing in 2019, Oracle said the ratio for Catz was 12 to 1, based on the company's median employee compensation of about $84,000. The ratio for the late Mark Hurd, who was co-CEO until his death in October 2019, was 30 to 1.

But federal data offers a more specific glimpse into how much Oracle pays employees in different roles. US companies must disclose salaries in applying for visas for current or prospective employees.

Business Insider analyzed the US Office of Foreign Labor Certification's 2020 disclosure data for permanent and temporary foreign workers to find out what Oracle, which had 452 approved visa applications, pays for top talent hired from overseas.

Here's a snapshot of Oracle salaries in the US for various jobs, including software development and engineering, data science, sales, marketing and finance:
